I hope you are all looking forward to a great year with a lot of fun learning experiences.  In science we will be studying earth science, embryology, and the scientific method, with an emphasis on variables. I enjoy doing hands-on experiments and activities.  In Social Studies we study world geography.  In both science and social studies students are required to keep a notebook. This will be periodically collected and graded.  It must be brought to class every day.  Student notebooks will be a resource from which to study for tests and quizzes.
I also am teaching the Pre-Algebra class this year. Homework will be given Monday through Thursday, but not over the weekend.  Students keep a notebook in this class as well, and it will be graded.  In addition to the Pre-Algebra curriculum, we will also be covering the regular 6th grade curriculum so that students will be amply prepared for the PSSA test in the spring.
Let's have a great year together!
