 Welcome to 4th grade!

            I hope everyone had a wonderful summer!  I look forward to meeting you at Back to School Night on Thursday, August 17th from 7:30-8:15 p.m.  

           This year, I will be teaching English Language Arts (ELA) .  ELA will consist of reading, writing, grammar, and spelling.

           The 2017/2018 school year will be my sixth year at Fairview Elementary School.  I graduated from Wilson College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am working toward a master's degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy.

               Students are expected to read 20 minutes (about 15 pages) every weekday (Mon-Thur) and 40 minutes over the weekend (Fri-Sun).  The reading log is a homework grade that is worth 10% of the reading grade.  Students will complete and submit the Daily Reading Log found on my web page in order to receive credit for reading. A paper copy is available if necessary.
